FirstCap has been on my XP for a few years now, highly recommended.

I don't like to have lots of utils loaded at logon. Instead of another one, a
registry mod canbe used to disable the caps lock:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout]
Scancode Map
=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,02,00,00,00,00,00,3a,00,00,00,00,00

Alternatively remove the keycap. It's what I do.

First Cap is nice.....I've been using it for several years. It's
invaluble if you hit capslock when typing 'A' (gotta replace this
keyboard!)

and BB is allowed a hit now & then. Remember, even a stopped clock is
right twice a day.

CapsUnlock http://www.brainsystems.com/capsunlock/
is what I've been using, very small (11k)and just blocks the Caps Lock
function. A permanent fixture on my computers on XP and now on Vista.
