From: steve on 3 Feb 2010 10:48 Im strugging with trying to remove some folders that will not let me remove them as administrator. I have read tons of stuff on this but find it confusing. I admit that even in school I never quite got permissions. When I try to go into say folder3 it says Access is denied. Ok so, then I go to properties and the only two tabs I have available to me are General and Customize. Nothing else. The attributes for this folder are Grey / Read-Only. I cant seem to make it un-Read only. When I try to make it un-read only it says Access denied. Ok so then I go to Folder2 above Folder 3. and give admin and everyone full control, then allow inheritable permissions ... for admin and everyone Still no permission to delete the folder3. When I try to take ownership of the folder2 with administrators owners I get access denied. I have tryed to use xcacls.vbs but still no luck. Iv been going around and around wtih this to no luck Can anyone shed some light on this and help me. Thanks.
