From: DocBrown on 27 Mar 2010 03:28 Has anyone else encountered this? When I'm in any of these Office Online forums and do a Search For: The results I get never have entries newer than about Oct 2009. I used to search on my user name and found all my posts in a group, but not anymore. It doesn't find the ones for 2010. Any thoughts on what's happening or how to fix it? I put this here because I couldn't find a more general place to ask this. Thanks, John

Use a news reader instead. Setting up Outlook Express/Windows Mail/Windows Live Mail to access Microsoft newsgroups http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/outlookexpressnewreader.htm Accessing the MS newsgroups in Outlook Express/Windows Mail/Windows Live Mail Newsreader http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/newsgroupsetup.mspx
From: DocBrown on 28 Mar 2010 13:35 I agree the Web interface is horrible. And I avoid them for email. But looking at the links you sent, it appears that the posting search would be limited to what you download as headers or the body. Am I correct or not understanding how the newsreaders function. I use Thunderbird for email handler and that's how seems to work. Thanks for the suggestion.
