Full install disks

He said if I wanted full install disks for Win7, I would have to buy the OS separately. Has anyone been able to get full restore disks lately? Thanks, Anne

Dell was the last of the major OEMs to include a Windows install disk, but no longer. You can try your luck with Dell Technical Support, but I wouldn't hold out much hope. If you ask Dell (or HP or Lenovo or...) why you don't get a Windows disk, all you'll get is a big run-around. Since nobody wants to talk about it, and seeing as it costs pennies to press a disk, my guess is that the order came from Redmond. Daddy

I took delivery of a Studio XPS 9000 12/31/09 complete with an install disk for Win7 Premium.
