New Panasonic G1's being sold off at Henry's for $449.99. And the best
thing? No crappy Chinese 14-42mm kit lenses. The kits still come
with the 14-45mm. Considering a separate body and lens will sell for
more used on Ebay, that's a good deal. No more excuses, P&S'rs!

Yeah but you have to get the red one <g>.
$693 US black with 14-42.

Who has a good price with the 20mm pancake in black?

Best price? Buy a G1 and kit lens, keep or dump the kit lens. Buy a
GF1 + 20mm, sell the GF1 on Ebay. I think you'd come out in positive
territory.

If I wanted an ILC camera I wouldn't have sold or given mine away when I
first switched to digital and found better performance from superzoom
cameras. I'm happily living without all the crippling slow flash-sync,
focal-plane shutter distortions, ungodly noise from the slapping mirror and
shutter, 2-5 pixel-width blurs from shutter and mirror shake, dust and crud
on my sensor, missed shots from changing lenses, not enough DOF for
macrophotography, not enough aperture at long focal-lengths, the extra
expense to make an ILC camera usable by having to pay outrageous markups on
questionable glass, lugging around heavy tripods to be able to use long
focal-length lenses, not being able to focus in low-light because you can't
amplify the light level in an optical viewfinder, no precision focusing
because you can't zoom into the pixels during focusing, etc. etc.

Why do you wish your worst nightmare on others? You haven't used any
cameras very much, have you. Or at all.

GF1 looks like a better deal if you want a camera with the pancake.
