The 4 PPC CDs Now Available as a Single DVD w/18,400 pages of Calc Material
Hi, The four PPC CD disks, containing 4 decades of HP calculator materials from various user groups, have been combined into a single DVD disk for more ease of use. Everything remains in pdf format and once entered, the user may navigate anywhere in the material from within the Acrobat environment. The DVD also ... 17 Mar 2010 22:18
How to do a test print on 82240B using HP-50G ?
Hi, I've just received my second hand 82240B printer to use with the HP-50G. The printer passes the seld-test however I have not managed to print from the calculator yet. Is there a self-test or way to test IRDA comms between the two, or just a quick way to test-print from the claculator to this printer ?? I... 17 Mar 2010 17:23
Can someone fill me in...?
I got my HP 50G about a week ago, and have been playing with its features and the CAS. While the machine is a wonderful "tinkering" tool, I find that it still falls short as a reliable calculator. The erratic / inconsistent behavior of the CAS and related flags coupled with the slowdown resulting from the 12MHz <->... 18 Mar 2010 21:13
HP 50G Font specifications?
I tried looking up the various programming documents, but cannot seem to find the information on the data structure of fonts. Any ideas on where to look for further reading? Han ... 14 Mar 2010 22:05

SIMPLIFY?
Today I calculated, for my own amusement, the correlation between my old VHS device counter value and playing time from the beginning of the tape. I went ahead and used my HP50g in the process to integrate the necessary '\v/(X^2+1)' with INTVX (\v/ being the trigraph for square root sign). Resulting in 'X/2... 14 Mar 2010 14:17
Very slow screen printing with HP50g and 82240B
Hello, I just acquired an used, but perfect, 82240B printer (without a manual, but at less than $10 I think it was worth it!). It works perfectly, but I have a problem with screen printouts. If I use it with my 48GX, both text prints (like program listings) and screen printouts are rather fast; for example, when p... 14 Mar 2010 10:53

FAST3D
Can anyone explain briefly what happens when one graphs via FAST3D? Does the HP50G go into ARM mode to do the fast number crunching during the computing stage? Or is it still using Saturn code? I am familiar with how FAST3D rotates so quickly (using the DRAW3DMATRIX engine), but I would like to know how the compute... 12 Mar 2010 11:39
How do I "solve" this complex xroot?
Moin Moin! I recently bought myself a HP 49 G and I am still learning how to use it effectively. I am able to do most of my tasks with it but there are still some bumps on the road... Maybe you could help me with this...I think it is a real newbie question... I want to "solve" this xroot: xroot ( 4,... 12 Mar 2010 05:01
