In N.America, Brother was recently marketing obsolete multifunction machines (both inkjet and laser) for $60, not much more than the price of a set of inks or toner. These printers sold when new on the market at $100 to $200. I like them and now have two Brother inkjets and one laser, two of them bought at this discounted price. -- Don Phillipson Carlsbad Springs (Ottawa, Canada)
From: Sparky on 29 Jun 2010 02:00 After 3 Canons , I just bought a Brother MFC 495 CW ( usually under $100 at any of the major retailers..got it for $79) I wouldn't say the photo print quality is a good as the Canon , but I don't print photos anyway. Great software , ( installed on Win 7 / 64 desktop and Win 7 Starter netbook ) ,wireless capability if you need it and cheap carts from the online retailers. Only 'complaint' is the paper tray...if you use a variety of media , you might get tired of playing with it. The dual paper feed on the Canon DOES spoil you..
