From: John on 30 Jun 2010 06:22 I,ve got a MX700 where the yellow tank needs deep cleaning almost everytime it is used. It comes good after several deep cleans and then a few days later it will be blocked(?) again. Its next to full of ink. Is it possible to clean printhead? Or any other suggestion?. Many thanks John
From: davy on 5 Jul 2010 18:33 Have a look here at 'Printer problem solved' (http://www.printerproblemsolved.co.uk/index.php?model_id=17) I really don't like the idea of blowing air into the print head..... a far better way is to fold a bit of kitchen towel into a narrow strip moistened (not soaking) with warm water letting them sit on that a few seconds, amazing how much ink will be released without the cartridges..... I wouldn't suggest rubbing, a dabbing action I'd say is better. Far better is to use cleaning cartridges.... it's always the yellow that seems to give this kind of trouble, if you are not using OEM inks it 'may' be wise to try a different brand... or a different batch at least as it could an old batch. davy
