My 3GS iPhone turns out to work longer off its own battery as a GPS
than my TomTom One does from its.

That's true but it's still not long enough to record the track from a
long(ish) day walk.

Indeed - which is why I got myself a Kensington top-up battery thing,
which gives me over two more full charges.

No good for two day walks, for which I'd need a freeloader and
sunshine!

Which GPS app do you use, btw? I switch between Trails, MotionX and
GPS Kit, without settling down to any of them yet.

Yah. Isn't that what we call "having a good day for a change"?

I had the Teck Net one for my birthday but it doesn't work. :(

Heh.. I'm never away from power for that long...

Me neither, but I have good intentions!

Oooh! Aces, that's a very nice addition. I wish iPhone app updates had
"what's new" flashes somewhere...
