You are mixing photography with religion again. Also it is "the religion of pedophiles and child abusers". Now is not a good time to start asking for criticism of Catholic imagery with the Pope and many bishops, cardinals and priests on trial, figuratively or literally. There are very many who have very good reasons to be very angry at the moment with the Catholic Church. As suggest you could try a mixture of images? I have not seen you post anything other Catholic images over the last few months. -- \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ \/\/\/\/\ Chris Hills Staffs England /\/\/\/\/ \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/

Of course he is, but what's wrong with that? If your interest is photographing classic automobiles, sports, or Morris dancing, you are mixing your personal interests with photography. That's what most of us do when we are amateur photographers...we photograph what is of interest to us. It's also a hypocritical position for you to take. Your profile in this photography newsgroup is one of bringing in politics and jingoism that is not related in any way to photography. > >Also it is "the religion of pedophiles and child abusers". Now is not a >good time to start asking for criticism of Catholic imagery with the >Pope and many bishops, cardinals and priests on trial, figuratively or >literally. There are very many who have very good reasons to be very >angry at the moment with the Catholic Church. The subject of photography and the subject of the behavior of some of the subject matter is an entirely inappropriate marriage. Taking your position, one should not be photographing the Notre Dame de Paris because it is a Catholic edifice. One should not photograph the people in St Peter's Square because the crowds are nominally Catholic. I'd hate to see you turned loose in the Uffizi because you'd ask for suppression of the great works of art because you feel they are "Catholic imagery". You were born a few centuries too late. You'd have found a home in Cromwell's army. -- Tony Cooper - Orlando, Florida |
