I am using Debian iceape browser (unstable/sid). I have installed
mozilla-livehttpheaders using the following command:

apt-get -t unstable install mozilla-livehttpheaders

This does not seem to have any effect on the browser. What do I do next?

I point the browser at about:plugins and this gives:

Default Plugin

File name: libnullplugin.so
The default plugin handles plugin data for mimetypes and extensions that
are not specified and facilitates downloading of new plugins.

MIME Type Description Suffixes Enabled
* All types .* No

Should I see something for livehttpheaders here?

Mark.
