Hi all,

exchange 2003 envir.

How do internal messages deliver? (one user send email to another user
inside organization)
certianly, they will not use SMTP connetor, right?

Can anyone help?

Thank you.

If they are in the same routing group, the messages are delivered directly
server-to-server and use no connector. If they are in separate routing
groups, then they will be routed according to the routing group connector.
An SMTP Connector will never be used for intra-organizational mail because
it specifies how external SMTP mail is to be routed.
