I thought I'd reproduce the [last] reply I sent using standard format, after sending
a binary post.

You might try using this reg-file, which will, when imported, change the Control
panel to "category
view".

*NB Please note that you should not "be in" Control Panel while you actually import
the reg-file.

Download the reg-file from the web-page (link below) and double-click on it to import
