How to change from Classical View to Category View for Control Panel?

How can I change from Classical to Category View. In fact, when my children visited us, they changed Start Menu into Classical Start Menu on my laptop. I changed it to the default Start Menu. But Control and other menus still remain in classical view. Jorge

(As you say, this is XP's out-of-the-box default, but who knows what changes have been made to OP's system.)
