I suspect that would be illegal in the UK. If not illegal then taxed
at the higher rate as unearned income. :-(

Oh, I *cannot* resist... you suspect that it would be illegal in the UK to
be witty, generous or show greatness of spirit? Well, that certainly
might go a good way to explaining Dr John Stockton.

(As for sacks of Krugerrands... those get heavy and I am not aware of Mr
Klein's distribution of them extending transoceanically.)

Good to hear that you are in good health. I guessed it was you even
before I hit reply or read your second posting.

I hope the impediments to quicker moving than number 1 are removed.

You may not be aware but the UK has suffered greatly in the recent
recession. We have been ordered to wear sackcloth and ashes and are
banned from expressing any positive signs of humanity (including
humour and generosity).

I subscribe to and read The Economist, Mr Maclean... there's been a bit of
coverage about how the UK has been dealing with the recent spate of Bad
Economic Times. As best as I can understand it: the rich are getting
richer and the poor are getting children.

Some people have always been ahead of their times, aye.
