From: Sushanth Abhishek on 12 Feb 2010 01:53 Hi, I runnng a traditional asp app on iis6. Things were working fine until 1 months ago when we started having problems with people being able to login; people just get thrown back to the login page despite their login credentials being correct. There are definitely no problems with accessing the SQL server as the login pages work with issues many a times. Also i have checked the scripts and connection to the Db; no problems there. Upon checking the logs, we noticed this warning throwing up many a times: Event Type: Warning Event Source: IISADMIN Event Category: None Event ID: 105 Date: 2/12/2010 Time: 12:06:48 PM User: N/A Computer: <computer_name> Description: IISADMIN service failed to verify anonymous/wam account <domain_name>/ <user_account>. Some IIS functions can fail for this reason. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. Have trying searching for an answer to this for while and followed quite a few solutions, including: 1. ensuring the network service and iis_wpg have rights to the necessary system and app folders 2. resetting the anon user password 3. setup the McAfee antivirus to ignore the app folders and sub- folders However, the issue persists. Any solutions? OS: Windows 2003 Enterprise with SP2 Other Info: Box also acts as DC and Exchange Server
