From: R. C. White on 25 Jan 2009 17:09 Hi, Carlos. I seldom need an ISO burner. (Thank goodness, because I don't really understand ISO.) I have used Alex's ISO Recorder. And I also used Nero for the several Vista betas a couple of years ago. But for the new Win7 beta, I didn't need any of those. I used the Win7 pre-beta build 6801 to download the ISO files from Microsoft Connect and put them into my new E:\Windows7 folder. Then, still in Win7 6801, I browsed to that folder with Windows Explorer, highlighted the ISO file, and clicked Burn. It's a new button right there on the Explorer toolbar. Hover the mouse and it says, "Burn the selected files and folders to disc." ;<) A few minutes later, I had my bootable DVD+RW, ready to install Win7 beta build 7000. I LIKE that new Burn button! ;<) RC -- R. C. From: Carlos on 25 Jan 2009 18:02 R.C., It is a good start but incomplete. It doesn't allow you to select the burning speed and THAT is a problem. It might render a coaster instead of an usable CD/DVD. I always choose lower speed so that the optical media can be safely read in any PC or DVD player or CD player. :) Carlos "R. C.
