From: Fuller on 22 Jul 2010 16:59 When ImgBurn fails verification, how do we know which FILE it failed on? I use ImgBurn freeware to burn DVD backup data disks (documents mostly). ImgBurn often fails in the verification step - but - get this - the files "seem fine" when I open them. Of course, there are tens of thousands of files on any one burn, and maybe just one file is bad - so may I ask the question. Given the extensive ImgBurn log file, is there a way to find out exactly WHICH FILE failed the verification step (so I can test that one file out of thousands)?

Burn to a iso file first, THEN from there to DVD or whatever. Usually you are checking against a file that has been updated since the burn. If it errors out from the iso to the burnt DVD, you have a burn problem. Otherwise, it's an updated file. []'s

I don't think you guys understand (either that, or I don't understand). It's NOT in the log file. It's NOT in the event viewer. The next time it happens (which will be soon as it happens all the time), I'll post both the event viewer and the log file. Don't you think if it WAS in the log file or event viewer I wouldn't have asked the question? |
