Next: DVDFab HD Decrypter requires administrator privilages to install on WinXP
From: Glenda Copeland on 22 Jul 2010 17:21 My last version of WinXP DVDFab HD Decrypter freeware (version 5.2.3.2) did not require administrator privilages to install. But this newest version of DVDFab HD Decryptor (version 7.0.8.2) gives the error: You must be logged in as an administrator when installing this program. I've never, in all my years with this computer, had to become administrator for anything. No big deal. But, I never once logged in as the administrator. How can I find what/where the administrator account even is? Or, how can I give administrative privilages to my existing account?

Hi Glenda, If you don't have a copy of Universal Extractor, grab of a copy of it here http://www.filehippo.com/download_universal_extractor/ I have XP Home SP3 and I never install DVDFabHD Decrypter, I extract the files and place the folder where I want it, then create a desktop shortcut to the exe file. Incidentally, it is now up to version 7082in case your're interested in updating to the most current version. I've never run into any "Administrator" install problems using this method. -- Zo She was only a moonshiner, but I loved her still!

Thanks for the latest version info, I'm downloading now currently using version 7080. -- Zo "Please leave your values at the front desk." -- A sign in a Paris hotel. |
