From: jbarry on 20 Apr 2010 10:38 Brand new computer. Dell XPS, Windows 7. Every time I turn it on it is unable to install updates and wants to shut down and reboot. Won't let me manually install them. Numerous error message codes are listed in history. Also have McAfee Security. That seems to be fine.

From: PA Bear [MS MVP] on 20 Apr 2010 12:18 Was McAfee Security (McAfee Security Center?) preinstalled on the computer when you bought it? Have you purchased the McAfee application? Has a Norton application ever been installed? -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Client - since 2002 jbarry wrote: > Brand new computer. Dell XPS, Windows 7.
