From: Mike Walsh on 24 Nov 2006 00:12 My take is that this is the key part of that "Thank you for participating in the Beta program. You must uninstall all pre-release products in a specific order before you can continue with setup. " i.e. you haven't deleted enough before starting the WSS v3 installation - as I wrote above I have always first removed everything is sight including .NET Framework 2.0. Hello DLS, Doesnt make sense yet.... but im sure we can figure it out. I have set this up on numerous Virtual Machines and dont remember coming across this. Is this a clean install at this point? Can we start from a clean install? Have you installed .Net 3.0? With regards to finding hidden information that arent published... the Sharepoint Team Blog is one good site along with Joel Oleson's. Persoanally though I think the MVP's have this stuff pretty well covered as we have all been dogfooding these products for a while now... there is a list of blogs on my blog page that can be usefull.
