My insurance (Allstate) cut me a check for $2824.04 today to cover my
stolen D300 + 18-200mm VRII, MB-D10 + EN-EL4a, 16 GB CF, and Promote
GPS.

$250 deductible, $246.88 recoverable depreciation.

Now to order the D300s.

Thanks John.
It is a better ending than the one I first imagined. My claim was for
$2964. They calculated retail replacement at $3320.92 less the
deductible and depreciation.
I have priced replacement (I paid $1499 for my D300 body in Nov 2008
and I have ordered a D300s body from B&H for $1499 w/free shipping!)
and it seems at the end of all this I am going to be out $220.
Phew!
