I am however, able to listen to the streams you are talking about
without using a browser and without paying whatever is Screamer or Sure.

You could say I am using a free program not a browser to do that.

You don't pay anything to use Screamer or Radio? Sure!.

They simply play the internet radio station that you select from the
list they provide. Nothing could be simpler. IOW, they don't use portals
for their lists. That's why, if you'd ever used such a program, you
would have noticed that some of their station listings don't work.
Personally though, I can live with that minor problem.

?? And what "free program" is that? I'm all ears.

Note though, that I'm talking about freeware _programs_ for _PC
computers_, *not* programs for WIFI radios.

I shouldn't even have to be clarifying this.

John,
I don't see the problem you describe. With over 12k stations, as I
scroll thru the list nearly all columns are completely visible. In the
few that are truncated, enough is visible to easily identify. I don't
think I would ever want to maximize the window, but that's just me. I'm
using the BlueHarc skin.

I just noticed (rt-click/about) that I don't have the latest version
which was released about a month ago. Apparently RS now has a
pre-recording buffer like Screamer. So I guess I should thank you for
indirectly making me aware of that. Off to download.
