This is the third person who can't seem to get that a 2m x 85cm piece of glass might be slightly awkward to move and that maybe they need to have a little think about it first. I am this far from just dumping it in the road. -- bellajonez at yahoo dot co dot uk

Our local council does "bulky waste collection" - they picked up our fridge a couple of months back. I think most councils do. You've done your best keeping it out of landfill, just get rid of it. Often the council collected stuff gets donated anyway... -z- -- email: nettid1 at fastmail dot fm

I think most councils do. My bin men are not only very nice chaps, but they will take anything (unofficially) that they can fit in the truck in return for a nice smile and tenner. So far that's included a big sofa, a gas cooker and a fridge freezer. > > You've done your best keeping it out of landfill, just get rid of it. > Often the council collected stuff gets donated anyway... > > -z- -- Sara Wishing the weather would cheer up

I have tried charities - they won't touch any furniture that needs to be assembled. Seems a bit odd. It's a perfectly decent table and I am almost feeling sorry for it! -- bellajonez at yahoo dot co dot uk |
