From: whistlerspa on 15 Dec 2005 17:55 Hi Can anyone help me with this please? When I try to open this program I get the following in a popup window. 'iTunes.exe - Application Error The instruction at "0x10001040" referenced memory at "0x10001040". The memory could not be "read" Click on OK to terminate the program Cick on CANCEL to debug the program' Clicking on Cancel has no effect whatsoever. What does all this mean? I am using Windows media Player V10 as my default player and have DivX installed as well. I was using Real player for a while but uninstalled it some time ago. I have tried to install iTunes several times but get this resut every time WP

From: whistlerspa on 17 Dec 2005 01:41 I've now realised that my computer won't install Quicktime and this is causing the error message, I've used the same downloaded file to install iTunes on another computer on my home network and it works just fine on that one. Why won't the install create the Quicktime folder and componants on this machine? WP

OK solved it myself in the end. For some reason Quicktime was not installing from the download. I downloaded the 19Mb Quicktime file separately and installed that and now it works just fine. Strange though as I used the same file (the 32Mb itunes/Quicktime on another computer without a problem - as I already said). Cest la vie put this one down to experience I guess. WP |
