What does it define? It does not define much in and of itself, but it could be considered part of a definition of the term "set". - Tim

The world won't allow me to just claim privacy on everything. That just makes it more curious. I'm facing something you do not wish to imagine in a modern world unlike any faced by those who preceded me. For you posting is a mindless and trivial exercise with no accountability or necessary purpose. A throw-away activity with minor consequence for YOUR life. For me it's practice at talking to a worldwide audience. > another trait that on the face of it argues > against classification as a troll. If I don't reply to you your comments go off into the blue like those of so many others but by replying to you in this way I MAKE you a part of history. So I have the power to pick and choose in what way any of you become a part of the historical record, based on whether I reply to you or not, and what I say in reply. You are here being pushed up in a reply where I note the importance of Usenet as practice for me. I MUST practice. There is no way I can go flat-footed into this modern world and stand up and have a world watching without having tried out various things ahead of time. If some people who will never face that call me a "crank" or a "troll" of what importance is that? Years from now there will probably be people slandering me in every way imaginable BECAUSE of the knowledge of my accomplishments and not saying I'm on the level with Einstein but I've been fascinated by posts on sci.physics ripping on him. Why do they rip on Einstein? Because he's Einstein. For those people, no other reason is needed. James Harris

What would be so terrible about that? Seems like an odd attempt at an insult, what do you have against elderly women? James Harris |
