Two Questions: JSpinner and datatype 1. If I create a JSpinner with a SpinnerNumberModel and specify the numbers in the model explicitly as short, why can't I rely on the getValue() from the JSpinner always returning shorts? Using Java 7 Anyone knows what I should do to use Java 7 classes in an application? I downloaded it from java.net and tried both in Netbeans and Eclipse, but without success so far.
