Smooth up to 12kHz where you get a nasty peak.Can be incredibly sensitive to feedback. I suggest you look at the Sennheiser e865. Less than half the price and doesn't give the same feedback problems, great sounding too. The Audix VX10 I have not used but want to. I have only heard good things about this. Audio Technica AE5400 - superb. I really REALLY like them. If it was me, would I go for the Neumann over any of these? Probably not. The KSM9 looks phenomenal. (it was a "problem" venue. shallow stage, low ceiling, hard mirrored back wall.) went to a beta 57 on the harmonica player and he loved it. why not try the new AKG C1 and let us know how it does? I've used them in the past and have been impressed but feedback is a problem on here due to the way the room is laid out.
