But it sounds good. Many times when out and about with a mic it's handy to click it off when passing FOH or getting personal with a monitor speaking to a guest/client/whatever. If the switches are lockable, IE Sennheisers, I will lock it if given to an untrusted person, or point out the switch and give the "talent" the choice of locking or leaving in their control. I've never had any real problems yet with this, however I do work with a small group of fairly techy bands so maybe I'm lucky. Having the option there has made life so much easier many, many times. Certainly saves chasing faders which might not even be near me at the time! Rv!
