From: n47817 on 28 Feb 2010 22:08 I have an older laptop with XP. It appears that my video card went bad because I cannot see anything on the screen, nor does anything pop up when I plug it into my HDMI monitor. While I'm not too concerned with fixing it, I would like to get some files off of it. When my new computer recognizes it through the network, the error message of "Make sure that the device or resource allows incoming connections for File and Printer Sharing" comes up. Does anyone know the keyboard strokes I could use to change the default settings on my XP machine to allow for incoming access? Thanks!

Get a 2.5" external drive enclosure and put the laptop drive in it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010010092%201053807124&name=2.5%22 -- Lem Apollo 11 - 40 years ago: http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/apollo/40th/index.html
