Someone asked how to get a cent symbol and responses came back to use
Control/c or ALT 0162 which are great assists.

How do you find these out. Is there a list of all the Control or ALT
commands that can be used? If so, it would prove extremely helpful.

You can use the Windows character map (Start | Run: charmap) or the Insert
Symbol dialog box in Word.

Insert | Symbol shows you the Unicode/ASCII number for a selected character,
along with the keyboard shortcut if one has been assigned. You can also
click Shortcut Key... to assign one. For a list of all keyboard shortcuts in
the application, see the Help topic "Keyboard shortcuts." See also
