A well formed Library item cannot contain CSS styles embedded. Your Library
item should look like this -

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">

<div align="center"><span class="style4">Insert address here >
</span></div>

Hi Murray,

Thanks for that. I have updated my code and removed the embedded style. This
has not fixed the problem though. I even cut and paste your code directly into
my file, but sure enough, when I saved it and tried to update all the
associated files I got the same error message:

item file:\\filename.lbicontains and invalid path

So I went one step further and deleted all the code. All I had left was a
blank file. I tried to save and update and I got the same error message.

In desperation, I then deleted the library file and started a whole new file.
I left the file empty and attached it to an html file. Yet again, when trying
to change/save/update this new and blank library file I get the same error.

I'm at a loss!

I'm jumping into this late, but have you tried RECREATING the SITE CACHE?
Use: SITE | Recreate Cache and see if that helps.

Is this .lbi file empty??
In code view, there is nothing at all?

Yes, I have done that, but no joy.

The funny thing is that this error doesn't seem to be consistent. Sometimes
when I save/update I get the 'contains and invalid path' one, other times I get
the 'No error occured' one.
