Which process is writing to disk? (and getting on my nerves with it.. ;) When my system is idle, my SATA hard disk makes a little noise quite exactly every 1st and 3rd second of every 5 seconds. sshd failure I'm using SuSE 8.1 as server. All was working properly this noon. Sometime this afternoon attempted logins from remote or loop back from console cause hang.
