Thanks for including terminal applications. Not everybody wants to
exclusively run Linux like Windows.

Agreed. There are too many very powerful command line applications to
simply dismiss them. I've written the first six of these little posts
thus, each with terminal apps listed. My intention to to include them for
each application category I choose, insofar as there are some.

Good idea especially if open source/cross platform so users of other OSes

My newsreader of choice but beware the documentation is abysmal. The
"User's manual" page
http://pan.rebelbase.com/manual/
has said "We're working on it" since time immemorial!

Still a good newsreader.
