From: Stefan Blom on 29 May 2010 15:06 You'll have to copy both the list style and the paragraph styles to the template. However, to transfer numbering settings between documents, the following approach will be safer: From a document that has the correct number formatting, use Save As to create a template. Then create a document based on your new template and use the Insert File dialog box to bring in an existing document that you want to reformat. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP (Message posted via NNTP) "Mariann" <Mariann(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A9195795-1B62-4020-9B65-975D73CF9AD9(a)microsoft.com... > > > "Mariann" wrote: > >> Hello, Word Gurus! I created linked heading styles and when I try to use the Linked style in a new document, the association is totally gone to the heading styles. It doesn't seem to hold the "Links" to linked heading styles I associated with them. (Sorry tried to take a screenshot but it doesn't want to paste.) >
