From: Stu on 5 May 2010 07:50 Hi, we recently switched to a master project arrangement for all our projects, which brought on the need to use resource usage view to hand edit the distribution of remaining work for each resource/task. This has generally worked fine, except recently we've found this very annoying problem - when we alter the work values, MSP is actually also modifying the actual work values with the same numbers - why would it be doing this? Heres an example: Task1: Res1 has completed 5 hours of actual work, and has 4 hours remaining. These are scheduled for a Monday in 3 weeks, and we want to shift those 4 hours to the Wednesday of that week. Previously we could just edit those hours in resource usage view via the work cells in the time-phased table, but sometimes we see this:the 4 hours are allocated as actual work (thus work also equals 4 hours for that column), as though the resource had now completed those 4 hours. FWIW, the status date is correctly set to where the actual work finishes, and all remaining work and the cells we're trying to modify are well past the status date, so I cannot understand why its doing this. Any tips? Stu.
