I have no idea, but it does.

I have no idea, but it does here.

One other curious thing. If you decide to forward a message to yourself
and start typing your own address, MT-NW will use your OS X address book
entries for auto-fill. That one drove me nuts after changing e-mail
address until I figured it out.

Some servers verify that the domain portion of the sender address is
valid. Comcast is an example.

Also, when sending direct email, you generally have less reason to munge
your address, as most people do on Usenet. You might actually *want*
the recipient to be able to reply.

It does if you're sending the mail from MTNW, e.g. if you use
News->Reply via Email or News->Forward.

If your newsserver allows munging, but your mailserver doesn't, and you
want to munge your Usenet posts (as I think most people do, although I
don't), you need to configure multiple personalities in MTNW.
