Has anyone had any success in taking mts camcorder files and burning them
to standard DVD? I tried some freeware that claimed to either convert
(AnyDVD Creator) or burn directly (Several different), and none worked
properly. Cyberlink PowerProducer (Payware) was the only one that I got to
work. Anyone have any expertise here?

I've used Any Video Converter Free to convert an mts file to
DVD-compliant mpeg2. You can then use 007 DVD Author Free to author
the mpeg2 to a VIDEO_TS folder DVD compilation (no menus, chapters or
subtitles supported), then use ImgBurn to burn the compilation to
disc.

If you need all-in-one authoring support for chapters, subtitles,
menus and burning, you can use Simple DVD Creator (no menus) or DVD
Flick. But there will be decreasing ease-of-use for increasing
features.

When I converted with AnyVideo Converter the program would only process 1/2
of the file. I used mepg2, and it converted all of the video, but only 1/2
of the audio. I tried every format available w/o success. I could burn the
converted files OK, but was unable to correctly convert them. These were
files from a JVC camcorder if that makes any difference.

I needed to either burn mts directly, or convert the format correctly and
then burn.

AnyVideo Converter did not properly convert and all the authoring and
burning programs need something other than mts files to work.
