Apple MAC OS X driver developer 3 month contract Due to an increasing customer base, we have a short term need for assistance our device driver team developing Apple MAC OSX networking drivers. The contract will involve kick-starting the development of Apple MAC OS X network drivers for silicon and subsequently working with other members of the team to add features and improve performance. It is intended the driver will access the networking silicon through an OS agnostic interface library we have developed and use on other operating systems including Windows (multiple drivers), Solaris and DOS. However, it is expected that the successful candidate will have experience working at the hardware edge and extensive knowledge of Apple MAC OS X driver design. Requirements Skilled individual with a strong track record in the development of software for hardware. Candidate will have a track record of developing drivers for Apple MAC OS X networking drivers and drivers interfacing to PCIe attached hardware devices is highly desirable. Candidate will need a good working knowledge of PC architectures and have experience of networking (TCP/IP/Ethernet). The candidate must have strong debug skills and enjoy the methodical process of identifying issues, narrowing down root cause and working with other engineers to resolve. Good communication skills essential.
