Hi all,

I have my email set to show in threads. But in the email listing window
it highlights threads in blue which I find VERY distracting. Can I get
rid of this highlighting colour ?

Mail Preferences Viewing Message threading

Adjust colour to taste. I can't get the lack of a tick in the box to
turn off the colouring, but it is easy to set the colour to the same as
the list view window background.

Damn! Unchecking the checkbox works as soon as the list view redraws
say by choosing another mailbox.

I thought that color was referring to the text colour of the quoted
text... not the colour of the thread in the message listing window ?

Yep. It pays to be a bit experimental with pref dialogs. They have to
be terse in the extreme. It is easy to miss something obvious.

I tripped myself up when the colour changed immediately but the
checkbox unticking had no immediate effect. I discovered that by
accident when I got mail in another folder when just about to leave
prefs after experimenting to answer your question.
