I think it's supposed to be `steampunk' rather than, well, `genuine'
antique.

I quite like the iMac case, though I can't help but wonder what havoc
that would wreak with the cooling.

It's not for me, but I do appreciate these. Would quite like the laptop
one if it wasn't for the feet:

....but overall I prefer the Mini ITX-based Humidors conversions. Here's
a similar (desktop) one:

Not a lot - the in and outflow are not covered by the pictureframe,
and the "chin" doesn't warm up, so it's probably fine.

I agree; the feet are minging. But could be fixed...

Now that is jolly nice [1], if it wasn't for the horrid fan exhaust on
the side. It ought to be on the back with all the other 21st century
manifestations.

[1] According to a rather grudging definition of 'jolly' and of 'nice'.

A quick google for
http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=steampunk%20computers
brings up a whole bunch of really pretty wood- and brasswork, much
better quality than the ones in my original post.

http://steampunkworkshop.com/victorian-all-one-pc is nice work.
http://steampunkworkshop.com/daveveloz.shtml is more on-topic.
