From: Howard on 8 Aug 2010 14:52 I sue MacSOUP happily. I want to subscribe to a second server service (newsguy) but I cannot figure how to create a second server in the preferences. I see a second Account ... but this doesn't seem to lead to a second server.. Anyone can advise ? Howard

Save the MacSOUP settings and call them (for example) First Server settings. Then set up the second server, and call the settings Second server settings. This should be saved (automatically) in Documents. Start the MacSOUP session by opening the appropriate settings file. I have aliases to mine, and this works fine. I think that's the easy way to do it. There may be some subtlety I've forgotten, but I have a TiBook that lives in Geneva and I access three news servers from that, and I think that's how it works. I'll be there next week, so I'll be able to check it. -- Peter

(for each account) You can create a second account, and use that to access the second server. However, when accessing the same newsgroup from both accounts you will have to import all articles again, and the second account won't know what you have done in the first one (mark as read, etc.) What you cannot do is access two servers from one account, and use a second server to get articles missing from the first server. (if that's what you wanted) Jan
