From: =?ISO-8859-1?Q?Anders_Ekl=F6f?= on 1 Apr 2010 16:10 I'd like to point out a long-standing issue with MacSOUP. I experience it frequently with binary groups (no - don't tell me!) on Easynews. Every now and the article count in an arbitrary group appears to "wrap around" or reset, and MacSOUP presents *all* messages in the group as unread. On occation this happens also in text groups - her may suddenly be 19000+ "new" messages in this group. I've leaned to collect the 800 or so newest and everything is fine. I know MacSOUP is not ideal for binary groups, and basically I use MacSOUP for text groups and Thoth for binaries, but some binary groups have discussion threads that I like to follow, and I have still to find out how to auto-tag threads in Thoth... Now, I have no idea if this is a bug in MacSOUP or EN's server software or a combination of both. I have never seen this problem in Thoth. Any clues? -- I recommend Macs to my friends, and Windows machines to those whom I don't mind billing by the hour
