From: Mark Conrad on 14 Feb 2010 08:35 SR = Speech Recognition At last we Mac users can use digital recorders to help change speech into text, like Windows users have been able to do for at least 15 years. Nuance (Dragon) now offers "MacSpeech Scribe" software for $149, download only. I snapped it up from the Nuance website today. Beware, you need a bunch of other hardware/software in order to use MacSpeech Scribe. This software is mainly useful for serious users of SR, such as the medical business, doctors, hospitals, etc. I will post a review of it as soon as I get it cooking. If it is half as good as the PC version, then we Mac users have a "keeper". Doctors etc. can not use the iPhone for SR because the iPhone and its SR app are not certified for HIPAA/HITECH plus all the other associated medical security/privacy regulations doctors/hospitals are required to adhere to. <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_Insurance_Portability_and_Accountab ility_Act> Mark-
