I had to alter this line

register as application "MailNotify" all notifications allNotificationsList
default notifications enabledNotificationsList icon of application "Mail"

to this:

register as application "MailNotify" all notifications allNotificationsList
default notifications enabledNotificationsList icon of application
"Mail.app"

to get the right mail app icon

But a great script all-in-all!
