SU(2) x SU(2) and SO(4) SU(2)xSU(2) has the same lie algebra as SO(4). SU(2)xSU(2) is reducible into a 3 dimensional and 1 dimensional representation using say clebsh gordon coefficients. Does this imply that SO(4) is also reducible? ganesh ... 10 Dec 2009 10:06
pentic root The root to ax^5+bx+c=0 is approximately, x = { -c/({a^2+b^2}^(1/2)) }^(1/5) Using this formula, the roots to, x^5+x-34=0 x=1.888 should be 2 32x^5+4x-3=0 x=0.623 should be 1/2 x^5+x-0.10001 x=0.5887 should be 1/10 ... 9 Dec 2009 20:00

Set Theory, Anyone? On Sat, 5 Dec 2009, Jack Wellington wrote: It's sad that mathematicians have no imaginations these days. May I introduce you to imaginary numbers. Now if you take a real number that's not zero and square it, the result is positive. That however leaves the problem of solving equations like x^2 + x + 1 = 0 ... 7 Dec 2009 08:28

3 / 11.4 = 5/19 =0.263157895 Understand that, because it is a great divisor , see other posts This is hard to understand, but in other posts this is shown to be a divisor. This is indirect proof of inverse 19 because this 11.4 is a vector derivative, and the hypotenuse of 11.4 is 15 , so these hypotenuses equalize at 19. For thos who get confused by this , refrain from profanitie TILL A CHALLENGE PROOF OF ... 3 Dec 2009 16:00

What is the material basis of consciousness ?’ What is the material basis of consciousness ? I think : the Vacuum and Electron are the material basis of Consciousness. Why? Because now nobody knows what the Vacuum and Electron are. 1. " The problem of the exact description of vacuum, in my opinion, is the basic problem now before physics. Really, if yo... 30 Dec 2009 08:43
goldbuch conjecture raed this carefully! i sipmply claim: for all k>2: p+q=2k if p and q are odd and p/=q! for all k>1: p+q=2k if p=q! thus i cover all the cases can anyone find a k sutch that p+q/=2k simply NOT Goldbach conjecture states that every even integer greater then 4 is the sum of two primes Proof Theorem Golbach conjectu... 3 Dec 2009 11:29
Closed form for this sum? Hi. Is there a closed form for sum_{k=0...n-1} k^p exp(qk) with p, q nonnegative integers? Like how Faulhaber's formula gives a closed form for sum_{k=0...n-1} k^p? I tried the "summation by parts" method but it gives a nasty looking recurrence formula that I would not be at all sure how to reduce to a "... 3 Dec 2009 23:49 |
