I've spent the past hour or so trying every combination of ps2. usb,
trackball, and optical both in normal and safe mode. Every single time, the
device is picked up and seems fine in the device manager, but the hardware
tab in the mouse control panel remains empty. Any ideas as to what the
cause/fix for this may be?
