Am I on the > right track? > > John Yes, if you are asking for 93KHz at 8 bits, but you are asking for 500KHz at 10 bits. C8051F411 tops at 50MHz. Many small micros top at 50MHz to 70MHz. XCR3032 ($3 ea) top at 213MHz, which can probably generates 500KHz at 7 to 8 bits.
