Hi All,

I have created a massive project to run a maintenance and modification
program.

I have loaded every task, first with a duration and followed up with both
Material and Workforce. Due to the nature of the organization I have a group
of 27 people as a particular resource. The way the workflow was designed
shows a significant amount of task overlapping.

In an effort to level the resources I noticed the number of hours is often
reduced when a type of loading (Back end, bell, turtle etc) is applied. Is
that due to a setting I haven't yet discovered?

Also, (and this might be a suggestion for microsoft)... is there a way to
apply a factor to all assigned resources to set them at 20% higher than what
I keyed in? And in that same idea, for a resource of a group of 27 mechanics
have the option to tell Project that they work at an efficiency factor?
Since we all know how often anyone works at 100% <grin>...

Any thoughts or insight would be appreciated.

Hi,

Applying a contour only changes work for Fixed Duration Tasks.
To automatically change whatever you key in seems very dangerous (when would
such a routine stop?)
Best way to achieve what you want is to change the working calendars f.i.
have resource work for 6.4 hours per day or so.
Hope this helps,
