From: Chris on 30 Apr 2010 02:39 Hi, I have a figure which I intend to have move up the slide over 4 separate motion paths (as the figure is taller than the slide). Between each motion path I would like to have a series of custom animations appear to highlight various parts of the figure (arrows etc.). However, how do I know where to draw these custom animations to position them correctly? I can't seem to figure out how to look at the motion path frame by frame in the normal slide view so that I can add custom animations to the right spot. Any ideas are most appreciated. Thanks, Chris
From: Rick Altman on 30 Apr 2010 11:05 Trial and error, my friend. PowerPoint lacks a true timeline, as you'll find in a NLE like Premiere, so there is no way to know exactly where elements will be on a slide at a moment in time. I find it ironic that the Animation task pane has a setting called Advanced Timeline, which is nothing more than a little rectangle representing the speed and duration of an object's movement. Nothing advanced about that! -- Rick Altman The Presentation Summit October 17-20 | San Diego http://www.PresentationSummit.com "Chris" <Chris(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:572C1BAC-E663-4965-B938-39C3F0F13F17(a)microsoft.com... > Hi, > > I have a figure which I intend to have move up the slide over 4 separate > motion paths (as the figure is taller than the slide).
